 Job Description

-          The Manager, Business Development will be responsible for selling the company’s services in Nigeria. He/ She will have a history of successfully selling complex products /services.

-          He or She will be able to recognize the opportunity, develop the appropriate technical and commercial responses, negotiate the terms and conditions and successfully close the sale utilizing all applicable company resources.

-          The business development manager must create strong and strategic relationships at all levels within the organization to enable him/her work as part of a team toward delivering on his/her objectives.

 

 Job Requirements

-         Educational Qualification: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in any relevant course from a reputable institution.  Masters/Professional qualification is an added advantage

Work experience: 5 years minimum working experience in a similar role within a structured corporate environment

       - Excellent communication skills

-         -  Good business writing skills

-         -  Experience selling products

-          - Understands sales methodologies and has developed his/her own methodology

-          - Aggressive driven sales experience with tangible results

-          - Extremely goal-oriented and passionate about achieving superior results

-         -  Comfortable soliciting feedback from customers

-          - Time and self-management

-          - Strong negotiation skills

-          - Ability to work within a team to achieve objectives

-          - Strong analytical ability

-          - Problem solving and decision making

-         -  Microsoft office skills

5 - 7 years

 

 Job Responsibility

-          Responsible for devising and delivering winning strategies that will place the brand as a preferred provider.

-          Responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing key relationship with stakeholders and engaging clients at all levels.

-          Develop a Business Development Strategy and annual Business Development Plan for each subsidiary in the group which delivers excellent Business Development to support/develop the organization’s objective.

-          Develop channel specific activities to exploit the particular opportunities identified in each category

-          Develop and provide marketing teams with appropriate  tools and support materials to drive outstanding execution of the business development category plans

-          Develop a robust business visibility program.

-          Negotiating sales contract with customers and legal teams and ensuring contracts are appropriate for company.

-          Develop clear objectives for each business activity and undertake pre-and-post evaluation to determine ROI and if activity met objective.

-          Meeting tough but achievable sales target

-          Acting as a key contact for customer accounts, and monitoring customer satisfaction with existing clients to ensure service delivery.

-          Ensure proper documentation of sales research and detailed reporting on ongoing sales and business development effort

-          Other related duties as required
